Rebecca S. Young-Coaching to Build Capacity
A small farm in Northern Michigan is where I called home as a child, and still return to find solace. As a mom, I strive to teach my 3 city kiddos the importance of wide-open spaces, hard work and kindness. Central Michigan University (Fire UP!) is where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Education with an emphasis on English and History. It is also where I met my hubby who is also an educator, and continued on to earn my Master's in Educational Technology. I am a lifelong learner and learn the most from my incredible Professional Learning Network.
I am a passionate educator of 20 years; in the classroom, as a District Literacy Specialist, K-12 Building and District Instructional Specialist, Title I School Improvement Coordinator, & MiBLSi Coach. I most recently served our 13 buildings in the district as the Curriculum and Technology Integration Specialist. I also provided the same services to the surrounding Bay-Arenac ISD/Iosco RESA Districts for the 15-16 academic year. This year I transitioned back into building Instructional Coaching at one of our most at-risk elementary buildings.
I believe in building capacity in others to BELIEVE in what they are doing. We should share our stories of success with anyone who will listen! Thank you for stopping by.
